Glee has officially wrapped, with production on the last episode finishing last week as the show airs its final episodes. The cast aren’t quite done yet though, and will be gathering for their last ever live performance at the Family Equality Council’s L.A. Awards Dinner – and you could win tickets.
Lea Michele, Chord Overstreet, Darren Criss, Jenna Ushkowitz, Alex Newell and Becca Tobin from the show will all be performing live at the event, alongside occasional Glee recurring actor Cheyenne Jackson and singer Maxine Nightingale. Other celebrities attending (though not performing) include Matt Bomer, Dot Marie Jones, Amber Riley and Andrew Rannells.
The event, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel this Saturday, is set to honor both Glee and Modern Family for helping to “advance the national conversation around LGBTQ people and families.” In a press release, the Family Equality Council said that:
“These two hit shows brought complex, sympathetic, and realistic LGBTQ characters into living rooms across the nation. Their stories celebrate LGBTQ individuals and families. The positive exposure these series have brought to LGBTQ parents and their children (three million and six million of each nationwide, respectively) has been and continues to be a vital part of the movement to spread marriage and family equality.”
The best part of all this is that you have at least some chance to win tickets to attend the night yourself. You have until 9 a.m. PT tomorrow, February 24th, to buy raffle tickets and be in with a chance to attend the event. You’ll also be put up in the Beverly Hilton for two nights, have dinner at the Palm Restaurant, and walk the red carpet alongside Chord Overstreet and Darren Criss themselves.
