In the wake of more and more video games being made into to films, here comes news of one heading to TV. The Legend of Zelda will get a live-action incarnation on Netflix in what has been described as a more family-friendly version of Game of Thrones. For non-gamers, it’s the story of the elf-looking Link trying to rescue Princess Zelda from the evil wizard Ganon.
Justified‘s Walton Goggins has just signed on for the new HBO comedy from Eastbound & Down’s Danny McBride and David Gordon Green. The untitled project will feature Goggins as a sleazy politician with Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s Shea Whigham playing his ex-wife’s current husband.
Potential spoiler alert: Thor‘s Jamie Alexander is bringing her Lady Siff character back to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. When she appears on the March 10 episode, Siff will be at her most vulnerable. We will learn that the Asgardian has lost her short-term memory and has no recollection of Thor or why she is back among mortals. The series will also introduce Blair Underwood as in important character linked to the past of Ming Na Wen‘s character Agent May. More specifically, he will be playing her estranged ex-husband, Dr. Andrew Garner.
Alexandra Breckenridge, who played the young Moira on American Horror Story’s first season, joins the cast of The Walking Dead with the March 1 episode titled “Remember.”
Former The Walking Dead regular Emily Kinney is coming to The Flash and will be playing Brie Larvan aka the Bug-Eyed Bandit. Her debut comes in Episode 18 and will feature crossover appearances by Felicity and Ray Palmer characters from Arrow.
Spartacus: War of the Damned vet Liam McIntire will debut as the Weather Wizard on the Feb. 24 episodes of The Flash.
Kevin Hart has been confirmed as master of ceremonies for Comedy Central’s March 30 roast of Justin Bieber. The event will be recorded March 14 at Sony Studios, which happens to be two weeks after the self-indulgent singer’s 21st birthday on March 1.
